Flowood R/C Indoor Park is the first permanent city owned indoor off road remote control race track in the US. FRC opened December 1, 2010. Bubba Barham talked the city into opening the facility and runs it. FRC is open to the public. The track is 125ft wide by 100ft deep. The drivers stand is 10ft off the ground, so you are approximately 14ft up looking down on the dirt track layout that is designed for professional remote control racing. There is a guest fee of $10 per day to run your own car. There is no charge for spectators. Racing is held every Saturday starting at 2pm unless there is a special event going on.
FRC holds special event races thoughout the year. Because of our track layout and what all the facility offers, we have been able to attract some huge events and some of the best racers in the world of RC Racing.
We do birthday parties at FRC on days we are closed where we provide the remote control vehicles. We have done over 175 of these and it has been a huge success. Ages 6 to 12. For more information or to book a birthday party, please call the track. We can also handle business groups.
Remote control racing is for all ages. Anyone can do it with practice. We have father and kids, grandfather and grandkids that enjoy this sport together and we feel very fortunate that the city of Flowood saw the benefit and potential by building FRC. Stop by sometime and see what this is all about. But be careful it is easy to get hooked.
